CONTEMPORARY FINE ART INTERNATIONAL
Since I was a child, I have loved to draw and paint, but the financial demands of single motherhood required a dependable income. After 35 years of working in corporate America with painting as an occasional hobby, I have finally been able to retire. I have experimented with various media and discovered my love for pastels with the occasional acrylic and watercolor. I am still in the process of discovering my style as I paint figures, portraits and landscapes, with a concentration on figurative work. I strive to become a more abstract painter in all media and subjects. I have learned that one never stops learning to be an artist, because there is always more to learn. The one thing that is certain for me is that I love the process of creating art and it will sustain me for the rest of my life. My influences include Matisse, Bonnard, Vuillard, Diebenkorn and Linda Christensen.
